It is going to happen. Please call your senators and ask your friends to do the same.

It's amazing that it takes more than one third of the Democrats to actually present a petition to get the leadership to show some leadership.
The response to "We don't have the votes" should always be "Then GET some!". You do that by showing that the few who want to bargain and blackmail you will actually be ostracized, so far they've been positively courted instead.
If they can get this many to actively petition them to pay attention, it shows that they really haven't been doing so.

Question: Nate Silver has speculated that the reconciliation "sidecar" could threaten the House's majority for the Health bill. Does it make more sense maybe to get the House to pass the Senate bill as is, then at that point, pressure for Senate to use reconciliation? I bet good money polls will show potential for depressed Democratic turnout if Senate doesn't use reconciliation at that point.

Then it's obvious to me that you like the idea that in these recessive times the insurance companies have posted huge profits and you also like paying 40% more for your health insurance since that is what's headed your way, judging from the robbery happening in California.

As a CT constituent I called Senator Dodd's DC office yesterday and asked why he hadn't signed the letter. The aid I spoke to said Senator Dodd supported a strong Public Option yet no statement had been made regarding the letter. I then asked why Senator Dodd would allow nearly all the other Senator's in the Northeast (Schumer, Gillabrand, Sanders, Leahy, Kerry, Whitehouse & Reed) to sign and still be on the side line. All I heard was silence from the aid, I then ended the call.
As for Liarman my other Senator, I didn't waste my time or cell phone minutes.
