This afternoon, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced in an email that President Obama " held 64 meetings or phone calls with Members of Congress on health insurance reform."
Gibbs even sent around a photo, seen at left, of Obama making one of those calls while en route to George Mason University today for what could be his last health care reform rally.
It seems the White House is already staking a claim on the credit for health care reform, a signal that the administration is pretty sure the bill will pass this weekend.

It's strange that Dems can come off as heroes opposing the bill ... Some Dems play politics, but they must know the will reduce costs not increase it.

As I think about President Bush's and President Obama's personal experiences, I do some comparison. President Bush was horribly insulted that Saddam Hussein sent out a hit on his father while President Bush (41) was president. Way to get Saddam Hussein back is to declare war on him when the son, President Bush (43) is president.
President Obama was horribly concerned about his mother as he watched her do battle with the insurance companies for three months as she battled cancer. Way to get the insurance companies back is to spearhead a drive to change the way business is done in this country with the insurance companies. Is there a comparison here or a contrast? Let's see; President Bush leads us to declare war, use weapons and kill people as well as invade a civilization and change it. And how much money is that costing and will cost us and how much damage did that do to our imagine on the world stage.
President Obama leads us to change the way business is done concerning health care, invade a culture in the health care corporations and change it. And how much money is that costing and will cost us and how much damage did that do to our imagine on the world stage.

I am trying to get a message out. This is my URGENT message that I sent this to Harry Teague...our Rep. No Response. So I am sending it to you. Remember Hitler and ethnic cleansing. Please share this with your fellow representatives. I keep hearing from the "so called Christian Right" about their reasons to KILL THE BILL. I will they would be truthful and finish that chant or slogan. Kill the bill and maintain the status quo that the republican believe in. It should be kill the bill and promote the continuation of ethnic cleansing. No better that Hitler. Strong words maybe...the poor and their babies, the unemployed, the no longer insured, and our seniors, all without proper healthcare because they have no insurance or lousy insurance are dying. The “rich” who can afford it, get the care they need without losing their homes and savings that took a lifetime to acquire.
I help low income and seniors with their taxes for free in New Mexico. I have heard their fears and seen the tears because they spent so much on meds and doctors bill not covered.
I also had clients who paid premiums through the employers, then retired and the premium kept going higher every year. With Medicare for a couple costing $1157 for each of them and then another $250 each month, they had to drop the coverage and can't get quality care.
I have a 60 year old brother on dialysis. He can't have a kidney transplant because he had a fungus on a toe. The Medicaid would not cover the medicine. The fungus went systemic and if they give him a transplant...he could have one of my kidneys...but the anti-rejection meds would allow the fungus to rampage through his body and kill him. He has a fifteen year old daughter who has very little time left with her dad. Why is this allowed to happen?
Back to the matter at hand. Please get this bill passed and if it doesn't happen, please author a bill to stop all those in congress from getting healthcare insurance that we pay for.
Thank you and stay healthy
