Marco Rubio is keeping up his counter-attack against Charlie Crist, who implied that Rubio might have spent $130 of Florida Republican Party funds on a back-wax.
Erick Erickson interviewed Rubio, and asked him why he decided to focus his first ad around the issue of the deficit. "This frames what the election is about," said Rubio. "Charlie Crist seems to be obsessed with my back, but I'm worried about the trillions of dollars of debt we're putting on our children's backs. That's what worries me."
On Monday night, Crist said during an appearance on Greta Van Susteren's show on Fox News: "And yet just in recent weeks, about two weeks ago it's come out in news accounts that he had a Republican Party of Florida credit card that he charged $130 haircut, or maybe it was a back wax -- we're not really sure what at all he got at that place."
Crist elaborated: "And to try to say that you're a fiscal conservative, yet you spend $130 for maybe a haircut and maybe other things. I don't know what you do at a salon when you're a guy. I get my haircut for 11 bucks from a guy named Carl the barber in St. Petersburg, Florida where I grew up. And to me, that's real fiscal conservatism."
Rubio spokesman Alex Burgos told CNN: "Marco paid $20 for a haircut with a razor on the neck, and he bought some items that went into a silent auction, including gift certificates."

"Charlie Crist seems to be obsessed with my back."
Nudge-nudge, wink-wink.

Yea. Lived in FL near TL. Common knowledge that Crist was gay. So he remarries to appear "straight" for the votes and then gets run over by the Tea Party rubes. As Nelson (Simpsons) always says "ha ha".

I wonder if there will be a point that gay jokes will become a thing of the past in Republican primaries.
