In an appearance on the Today show, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine said he is not worried about Republican threats to campaign this year on repealing any health care bill. "If they want to run a campaign of bring back the day of kicking people off because of pre-existing conditions, I relish it," said Kaine, who also stood by the potential use of the budget reconciliation process: "The reconciliation is every bit as much a rule of the Senate as filibuster."

As part of her tour of South America, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will work today to try to win support for sanctions against Iran from Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who has been an opponent of sanctions and is seeking closer ties to Iran. GOPers Criticizing Planned Study On Gays In The Military
Some Republican members of Congress are already dismissing a planned nine-month Pentagon study on gays in the military. Said Rep. Buck McKeon (R-CA), the ranking member on the House Armed Services Committee: "Many of us on this committee have serious concerns with putting our men and women in uniform through such a divisive debate while they are fighting two wars."
Gay Marriage Becomes Legal In D.C.
Same-sex marriage has officially become legal in Washington starting today, with a law passed by the city council coming into effect. This also comes after U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts declined to issue a stay against the law, which was being sought by a group that claimed they were legally entitled to have a referendum.

Now I don't care what anybody thinks, including myself on what they should ultimately do about this but isn't it a little ignorant to say we got wars were fightin' so we can't think about what's best to do while fightin' our wars? They are just saying that they don't want gays in the military and are trying to find ANY excuse they can to criticize any sort of information.
The military will be 100% better if gays were allowed in the military. The military will go down into the dirt and not be helped one bit and will be severely hurt by gays in the military.
Who cares what people think now, why don't we use our brains and research it to see what the answer is as opposed to a stop-discussion and revert to the Book of Talibangelicalism.
Another excuse for me to call the Talibangelicans and SOP (S = Shitty) the ignorant brainlessness corrupt bunch.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, nevermind that this is about gays and military, the biggest point is the fact they say something like THAT about something they don't want. What about if they said that about research on wasteful spending in the military (in the Bush administration) or research on the effects of Talibangelicalism on once intelligent people. They don't want the research obviously because its about a change they don't want and are trying to come up with the stupidest (their constituents will believe and use it) things to say against it.
Lets look at those in Congress's salary and see if we can cut spending some to save this country money. Nevermind, that's a bad idea because I gotta take a shit.

Why does the GOP, Party of No, have so little respect for our military, our judicial system, and our Constitution? Why does the GOP, Party of No, hate America...?

Same-sex marriage expands yet again. I look forward to the day that all parts of the United States fully embrace freedom to love in law.

Republican Luntz talking point spouting scumbags will say whatever Frank Luntz tells them to say. The whole point is that they have specialists crafting the framing and choosing the words and figuring out which rhetorical tricks to employ so that they can manipulate you rather than serving you. It's disgusting.
If we actually had a functioning 4th estate in this country, those techniques would be a lot more well-known than they are -- and a lot less effective.
