Poll: Perry Holding Lead Against White In TX-GOV Race

Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) and Houston Mayor Bill White (D)

The new Rasmussen poll of the Texas governor’s race finds that Gov. Rick Perry (R) leads Houston Mayor Bill White (D) 48%-44%, basically holding his lead since the primary in March.

The TPM Poll Average shows Perry leading White by 48.1%-44.1%.

In its last match-up between Perry and White immediately following the March 2nd primary, Rasmussen found Perry leading 49%-43%.

The latest poll also finds that Perry has a 59% favorable rating and a 37% unfavorable rating, with White at 54%-36%.
