Poll: Fear Of Terrorist Attack In U.S. Rises
A new CNN poll finds that a majority of Americans, 55%, believe that it is somewhat or very likely that there will be further acts of terrorism in the United States ” over the next several weeks” — the first time that a majority has believed this since August 2006. The poll of American adults has a ±3% margin of error.

President Obama will depart Chicago at 9:10 a.m. ET, arriving at 11:10 a.m. ET in New Orleans. He will attend a briefing at 1:10 p.m. ET by Adm. Thad Allen. He will deliver a statement to the press at 1:30 p.m. ET. He will depart from New Orleans at 2:25 p.m. ET, arriving back in Chicago at 4:35 p.m. ET.

At 10 a.m. ET, Vice President Biden will deliver the commencement address at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Today: Bill Clinton Campaigning With Blanche Lincoln
Former President Bill Clinton will campaign today in his original home state of Arkansas with Sen. Blanche Lincoln, who is facing a tough challenge from her left in the Democratic primary. The two will appear at 1:30 p.m. ET, at Philander Smith College in Little Rock.
Geithner: U.S., Europe Agree On Need For Financial Reform
While visiting Europe, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said that there is a consensus on the need for financial reform: “The United States and Europe are in broad agreement on the importance of putting in place more conservative constraints on risk-taking, more conservative capital requirements, bringing transparency and disclosure to derivatives markets, making sure that the regulators and supervisors can do their job.”
Graham’s Hopes Fade On Climate
In an interview with The Hill, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was pessimistic about the chances of passing an energy and climate bill, as a result of the BP oil spill. “Why would a person who really believes in drilling put a bill on the floor right now to expand drilling and revenue sharing, knowing it can’t get 50 votes?” Graham said. “The resistance to drilling has hardened on the Democratic side, so we [Republicans have] got more votes to make up.”
Boehner: Members May Face Penalty Even Without Breaking Rules
House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) told Roll Call that he would hold members of his caucus to tough ethical standards even if improper conduct does not technically violate any rules, as appeared to occur in the resignation of former Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN). “Every case is different. People have tried to peg me down: What’s the standard? Where’s the line? I couldn’t tell you,” Boehner said. “I could not give you the definition except that I know it when I see it.”
