Anti-Lincoln Ad Attacks ‘Big Oil Blanche’ (VIDEO)

New ad attacking Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) on campaign contributions from oil and gas interests.

An environmental group has released an ad painting Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) as an ally of Big Oil, and features liberal scourges George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and BP.

In a parody of the now-familiar Gulf oil spill live video feed, the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund superimposes an image of Lincoln over a picture of the Capitol Building “leaking” cash. The ad slams Lincoln for taking contributions from oil and gas companies, and for her votes on offshore drilling.

Lincoln faces Bill Halter in the Democratic Senate Primary runoff on June 8. The TPM Poll Average for this race shows Halter leading Lincoln 47.3%-44.7%.
