Halter Releases New Ad: ‘The Only Choice For Change’ (VIDEOS)

Arkansas Lt. Governor Bill Halter (D)

Bill Halter (D), who is campaigning in the Democratic primary runoff against Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D) for her Arkansas Senate seat, released two new TV ads today that tout Halter as “the only choice for change.”

The first, called “Signs,” says that “Washington is still out of touch with our lives” and “the only way we can change Washington is if we change who we send there.”

Watch:

In the second, Halter enlists Pauline Wildman, 75, of West Memphis, AR, to talk about how Social Security has kept her off the streets.

“When Bill Halter was in charge of Social Security,” she says, “he fought to protect it from cuts.”

Wildman adds: “But Blanche Lincoln is different.”

Watch:

Following a tight Democratic primary vote on May 18, the TPM Poll Average finds Halter leading Lincoln 47.3%-44.7%, leading up to the runoff on June 8.
