In a new profile of Alvin Greene, the once-unknown Democratic senate nominee in South Carolina says if his story is ever made into a movie, he wants Denzel Washington to play him.
The New York Times profile refers to Greene as an “enigmatic jobless man,” and reports that Greene has been contacted by “a publishing agent in New York and a screenwriter in California.”
And, apparently, Green’s already got Denzel in mind for the title role.
Insert Manchurian Candidate jokes here.
Greene is challenging Jim DeMint (R) for his senate seat. He is scheduled to appear in court today on an obscenity charge.
