Earlier this week, we told you about a Christian book publisher's plan for a Sarah Palin biography aimed at children. The book was scheduled to be released in September, and the publisher, Zondervan, had already put together promotional material on its website. Now, just days after a flurry of publicity about the book, Zondervan has shelved the project.
The book's would-be author, Kim Washburn, told TPM that the book had been "delayed indefinitely" as of yesterday.
"The book has been delayed. Books get delayed all of the time in publishing as we move books around," Pam Mettler, Associate Director of Public Relations for Zonderkidz, told TPM. Mettler would not say if Zondervan plans to publish the book in the future, or why it was delayed.
In September 2008, Zondervan published a "leadership biography" of Palin titled "Sarah Palin: A New Kind Of Leader," written by Joe Hilley.

Maybe Zondervan finally realized that Sarah Palin is a liar and complete fraud.

Zondervan realized that 90% of the sales of "Going Rougue" were by conservative groups and Tea Bagger groups like Newsmax false news website and Drudge False Report website, to be given away as trinkets, and that those groups would not waste money on a second Palin book after the faisco of the bundle those groups lost on the first book.

Apparently the book was over 50% finished, and that was enough. After all, only dead treesgo with the flow. Also.

Or maybe Sarah realized she wasn't getting a cut of the profits and had her lawyer make a "friendly suggestion" or two in regards to the project.

The publisher, Zonderman, does not have the capacity rapidly to publish the huge number of volumes already in demand since news of Sarah biography was leaked. Negotiations are underway with larger facility which can turn out boxcar loads of books to satisfy public & institutional requirements..

Attention TPM - I think Ahmedsaid's account has been HACKED! Notice the above comments had no creepy remarks about how beautiful Palin is. Troll or no, you need to reset his password immediately to make sure it isn't used by some internet scoundrel.

"institutional" as in, all of her followers need to be institutionalized. For their own good, and to protect everyone else from their stupidity.

Publishers haven't been printing their own books for many years. They have them farmed out to outside companies, and can have them printed in whatever quantity they desire.

Want it out closer to Christmas. Putting it out right when kids are back in school and have their school reading to do isn't the best idea.
Look for it to come out in November.

You gotta love this. Only in America can an unmitigated failure(Palin) write a book about "leadership". Why would any straight-thinking parent encourage their kids to emulate her?. She is an absolute failure. She abandoned "low-paying" but honorable govt service, motivated by greed, so she could go around the country peddling hate-filled speech.
She now thrives on the fact that some people will pay hundreds of dollars to watch her spew irrelevant political garbage from her mandibles.

Now, I wouldn't call her an unmitigated failure. She does pull in more money in a couple hours than I can expect to in the next 5 years.
Now, an intellectual failure, I'll go with that. A political failure, sure, that too. But unmitigated? I respectfully disagree.

How about the fact that she was caught off guard that her daughter has reconciled with her child's father and will marry in six weeks?? Sounds like Mama Grizzily wasn't protecting the cubs in the cave.

Let's hope that title is an accurate prediction of the 2012 presidential election - "The story of a girl from Alaska who grew up to run for the white house" is a lot less frightening than "The story of a girl from Alaska who grew up to live in the white house". In fact, if she does run for prez in 2012, well, that would be pretty lulzy.
