Sarah Palin’s PAC Raises $866K In Second Quarter

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin’s political action committee, SarahPAC, let out a mama grizzly-style roar on Sunday. In an FEC report filed yesterday, the group disclosed that it had taken in $866,000 during the period, while giving out $87,500 in contributions. SarahPAC now has over $1 million in cash on hand.

The $866,000 raised in the period represents the best quarter ever for the group, according to Politico. Total spending — $742,334 — was twice as much as any previous quarter.

Among the candidates who received portions of the $87,500 were Sen. Chuck Grassley ($5,000), former Iowa Gov. Terry Brandstad ($5,000), Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle ($2,500), and California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina ($2,500)

The group also spent tens of thousands on political consulting from a number of groups and individuals.
