Police: Whatever Hit Window Of Al Franken’s Condo Has Not Been Found

Sen. Al Franken (D-MN)

Police are investigating an incident that broke a window pane at Sen. Al Franken’s Minneapolis condo, but whatever object caused the damage has not been found.

Something left a “very small hole in the outer pane of a double-paned window,” Minneapolis police spokesperon Bill Palmer told TPM, adding that “whatever cracked the window did not remain there.” Palmer would not confirm what floor the damaged window was on.

Palmer said an investigation has been opened into the incident, and that Minneapolis police have spoken with Capitol Hill Police about the matter.

Politico reported earlier that no one was home at the time of the incident — which it described as involving a “shot fired” at the condo. The incident was reported after Franken and his wife returned home Tuesday after a two-day trip.
