Rachel Maddow and her MSNBC show’s producers last night reenacted the Christine O’Donnell campaign’s oddball ejecting of the Maddow team from the Republican Senate nominee’s Wilmington, Delaware headquarters.
Maddow told viewers that because O’Donnell doesn’t have any public events, it’s “hard to cover” her campaign against Democrat Chris Coons, who Maddow also spoke with for the show.
“I have all these questions,” Maddow said as she and her production team did a play-by-play outside the O’Donnell building showing how they were booted.
“We can’t find the O’Donnell campaign, and when we did find them they insulted us and told us to leave,” Maddow said.

Maddow had told TPM earlier in the day what had happened, detailing how executive producer Bill Wolff and producer Laura Conaway were kicked out of the building.
On the show, Conaway told Maddow it was “a little like getting bounced from a bar.”
Wolff said that an O’Donnell staffer called Maddow’s coverage of the Senate race “classless” and engaged in some “visual scorn.”
“It felt as though they thought we had like stormed in, when really, we really hadn’t stormed in,” Wolff said.
