Rasmussen Poll: GOPer Rick Perry Up Double-Digits In TX-GOV Race

A new Rasmussen poll of the Texas gubernatorial race finds Republican Gov. Rick Perry up 11 points on Democratic former Houston Mayor Bill White, 53%-42%.

This survey comes right on the heels of a Public Strategies poll that gave Perry his largest lead (14 points) in recent months. When Rasmussen last looked at the race in late September, the Republican incumbent governor was ahead by six, 48%-42%.

The TPM Poll Average has Perry ahead of White 48.6%-40.1%. The margin of error for the latest survey is ±4.0 percentage points.
