Republican Ken Buck Concedes Colorado Senate Race

Ken Buck

Republican Ken Buck has conceded the Colorado Senate race, ending a close contest that many expected him to win, and clearing the way for Sen. Michael Bennet to return to Washington, D.C. for a full term.

In a statement, the Buck campaign wrote:

Ken Buck said he called Senator Michael Bennet this afternoon to congratulate him on winning the U. S. Senate race.

Buck said that while the final margin in the race is very small, Colorado voters have spoken and he wishes Senator Bennet well.

Bennet had declared victory at a news conference yesterday, after local media had projected him the winner.
