Santorum At CPAC: Obama ‘Doesn’t Say That Jihadism Is Evil’

Rick Santorum

One theme of Rick Santorum’s CPAC speech was that President Obama has his priorities all wrong, because he “doesn’t believe America is exceptional,” does see America as a “force for disruption, and even evil,” and won’t “say that jihadism is evil.”

Unlike Ronald Reagan, Obama apologizes for America, Santorum said, and even “refused to look at the situation in Iran and Egypt and around the world and do what Ronald Reagan was never afraid to do. Was to call evil, evil. Was to identify the enemy. To identify who the Muslim Brotherhood is, who the mullahs in Iran are and what they’re all about.”

“He doesn’t say that Jihadism is evil,” Santorum continued. “He doesn’t say that sharia law is incompatible with western civilization and the United States, which they are.”

Watch:

Santorum also called social issues “the issues that bind us,” and that when it comes to those issues, “just because it’s not popular doesn’t mean it’s not true.”

“The Judiciary cannot create life, and it did not create marriage, and it has no right to redefine either one,” he continued.

“American belongs to God,” Santorum said, “and we are the stewards of that great gift.”
