Sally Bradshaw, a veteran Republican strategist in Florida and an advisor to Mitt Romney during his presidential campaign in 2008, has signed on with Haley Barbour’s political action committee.
“If he becomes a presidential candidate I’ll work for him here,” she said told the Miami Herald.
Bradshaw also served as a campaign manager and chief of staff to Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), in addition to advising Romney on his campaign in Florida during the last presidential race.
This is the latest in a series of serious high-profile hires for Barbour, who will likely run for president in 2012. He also brought on Mike Dennehy, an adviser to John McCain in 2008, and Jim Dyke, a former RNC communications director.
“I’ve known Haley for a long time, and I’m convinced he’s the right person for the job,” Bradshaw told Chris Cillizza and Aaron Blake of the Washington Post. “With Haley, what you see is what you get; he’s not afraid to speak the truth and be bold in the face of challenges.”
