The Republican Governors Association is launching a radio and TV ad campaign in support of Gov. Scott Walker, who is currently locked in a protracted standoff with public unions and their supporters in Wisconsin.
David Catanese of Politico reports that RGA Chairman Gov. Rick Perry (TX) announced the campaign to reporters on Monday: “Republican governors aren’t going to back down from our support of Scott Walker and what he’s doing there to make the tough decisions in his state to balance his budget.”
The ad says Democratic state Sens. are “fleeing their responsibility” while “Gov. Walker is leading, balancing the budget without raising taxes.”
