Anthony Weiner’s Brutal Week: The Lowlights (VIDEO)

Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-NY) teary press conference Monday put an end to a week of clumsy deception as the Congressman tried to cover up a lewd tweet he had sent a college student in Seattle. Along the way he careened wildly through an dizzying mix of strategies, from stonewalling reporters to offering up dozens of interviews at once, never offering a complete answer to the questions surrounding his behavior.

TPM compiled some of the highlights - or lowlights rather - from Weiner calling a CNN producer a “jackass” while he stonewalled reporters after Memorial Day, to his now-infamous admission that he could not say “with certitude” whether the picture sent from his Twitter handle depicted his own groin, and finally the cringe-inducing press conference revealing his cover-up.

Video after the jump.
