See What A Daily Show Joke Looks Like On The Senate Floor

While doing a bit on the Senate’s Blunt amendment — which sought to roll back the Obama administration’s birth control mandate — Jon Stewart demonstrated that laughter is the best medicine by spraying one of his ailing writers with seltzer water.

And the bit made it all the way to the Senate floor, where Barbara Boxer recalled the joke in somewhat less-comedic fashion.

Which brought Stewart on Thursday to his latest DVD set: “Barbara Boxer meanders through episodes of The Daily Show like one of your mom’s friends (boxed set).” It includes all the greatest hits: “I can’t believe Fox News did that,” “dismayed look” and “bemused look.”
