Colbert: Obama Working To Kill More Than Just The Economy

Stephen Colbert

Stephen Colbert learned this week that it’s not just the economy President Obama is working hard to kill. He’s also going after Al Qaeda leaders by ramping up the United States’ drone program.

“So what’s behind the president’s righteous kill spree?” Colbert wondered. “Could it be he’s just gunning for another Nobel Peace Prize?”

Obama campaigned on the premise that he would close the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Colbert reminded viewers. “But that turned out to be real hard.” So instead, Obama’s just taking no prisoners. “It’s brilliant. He doesn’t have to worry habeas corups, because after a drone strike, sometimes you can’t even find the corpus.”
