After learning that the USDA recommended its employees participate in “Meatless Mondays,” Stephen Colbert had one thing to say: What about the vegetables?
“If I have Meatless Mondays, how am I supposed to celebrate Trichinosis Tuesdays?” Colbert added. British researchers found recently that plants actually communicate through clicking noises, and can even suffer.
“All those smug, morally superior vegans are actually vicious kale killers,” Colbert said, debuting his new public-service announcement. Watch:
