Patrick Stewart Joins Daily Show Correspondents ‘On Strike’

Emboldened by the NFL referees’ labor dispute, Jon Stewart’s Daily Show correspondents on Wednesday went on strike. Luckily Patrick Stewart was available to fill in.

“If I may, I believe I’ve detected a bit of a rub in the strike strategy,” Stewart said to the actor. “You’re better than them. You’re an infinitely better substitute.”

After Stewart threatened to hire Patrick Stewart and his cronies permanently, senior correspondent John Oliver ran back on-screen to beg for his old job back. But when Patrick Stewart learned what the job actually pays, he joined Oliver in solidarity.
