Jon Stewart on Wednesday had harsh words for Senate Republicans who blocked the ratification of a UN treaty to protect the rights of disabled people. Republicans voted against the treaty, citing concern over its impact on parents who home school their children.
“What is wrong with you people?” Stewart asked. “I guess it’s time for our new segment: ‘Please tell me this is rock bottom.’”
Stewart continued: “Oh, my God. It’s official. Republicans hate the United Nations more than they like helping people in wheelchairs.”
