President Obama was just the warm-up act for Marco Rubio’s GOP response to the State of the Union, Stephen Colbert said Wednesday. So how did he do?
“Don’t worry, Sen. Rubio, nobody noticed that you gave a speech,” Colbert said. Rubio’s ill-timed water break has dominated the headlines since Tuesday evening. The Florida senator’s political action committee has even capitalized on the publicity by selling water bottles.
“Ultimately, is this really that big of a deal, just because it’s the only thing that people will ever remember?” Colbert said.
