MSNBC suspended host Keith Olbermann today, following revelations that he made campaign contributions to three Democrats in the elections -- a violation of MSNBC policy.
But a search of OpenSecrets.org reveals that MSNBC host Joe Scarborough and MSNBC contributor Pat Buchanan have also made contributions to political campaigns. Here's what we found...

Weiner's latest showdown was with Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough on MSNBC today. Scarborough accused Weiner of using theatrics to distract from the fact that the Dems used a procedural trick that was ultimately the cause of the bill's failure.
PERMALINK | COMMENTS | RECOMMEND RECOMMEND (1)Ned Lamont, the man who made Joe Lieberman an Independent, said today that Democrats in Connecticut are fuming about Lieberman's public option posturing in the same way they were about the Iraq war back in 2006. That was the year Lamont soundly defeated Lieberman for the Democratic senate nomination, only to lose to him when Lieberman reentered the race as an Independent.
"National Democrats said [our race] was all about the war in Iraq," Lamont told TPMDC this morning. "They said that except for that, Joe was a good Democrat."
But with the health care vote and other matters, Lamont said, Lieberman has "not been working hard with Democrats to get universal health care as he promised. He's been sort of obstructionist."
PERMALINK | COMMENTS | RECOMMEND RECOMMEND (3)Former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie, the Republican nominee for Governor of New Jersey, was just attacked this morning by MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, for being afraid to come on Morning Joe.
Scarborough, who is himself a former Republican Congressman from Florida, was interviewing Christie's rival, Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine today.
"And by the way, we always get flooded with e-mails, whenever we have the Governor on -- why don't we have Chris Christie on? The answer's very simple: 'cause he won't come on," said Scarborough. "We've asked him, and we ask you again, Christie. I don't know -- I mean, my God, if you can't handle us, you can't handle Mike Barnicle, you sure as Hell can't handle the state of New Jersey."
