Biden's Office Complains After Reporter Ambush

Vice President Joe Biden's office is none too pleased with a tricky reporter ambush of him that got ugly and went viral last week.

Biden, never one to shy away from reporters even after a career of headline-making gaffes and wisecracks, is drawing the line. Biden's office has complained to the Senate press gallery about a confrontation he had with a conservative reporter, The Hill reports.

Cheney On The Vice Presidency: Yup! Pretty Much Nailed It!

The Atlantic Ideas Forum just hosted a seminar on hard-hitting journalism in which investigative journalist Liz Cheney interviewed her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney. The questions ranged from whether Cheney agrees that the Obama administration has fixed the economy (nope!) to which Secretary of State he most enjoyed serving alongside (Henry Kissinger and James Baker).

Then along came moderator Steve Clemons (formerly of TPM) with a final question: Do you have any regrets about anything you might have done about Vice President?

"I think basically on balance we got it right, under difficult circumstances," Cheney says.

Would Hillary Clinton somehow run with President Obama to take Vice President Joe Biden's place in 2012? It's the latest -- but utterly nonsense -- idea generating cable chatter to rival the "dream ticket" rumors from 2008.

Obama allies have been shouting "No!" as loud as they can, but given the long, rocky Clinton-Obama history, the train has left the station and there's no turning back.

Clinton said today at the Fortune "Most Powerful Women" summit that she has "absolutely no interest and no reason for doing anything other than just dismissing these stories and moving on."
